Medical Services Manager

Full-Time

The Medical Services Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of all medical-related health programs, including primary care, vision, and behavioral health services; ensures integration of Barnabas services to clients and patients (participants). Monitors and evaluates participant and program outcomes to ensure effective delivery of services. Manages personnel, provider utilization, and workflows to ensure optimal efficiency. Works with leadership (CEO, COO) team to promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values a commitment to quality and service excellence.

Essential Functions:

 - Oversee day to day service delivery in Medical, Vision, and Behavioral Health.
 - Manage services, resources, and personnel to operate effective and efficient services.
 - Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures in coordination with the COO.

- Monitor and optimize medical provider utilization including schedules, panel capacity, visit volume, productivity, and no-show rates.
 - Oversee medical records management and Electronic Health Records systems.
 - Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff; conduct annual performance reviews.
 - Maintain program data, prepare reports, manage budgets, and ensure safety standards.

- With coordination from the COO, direct disbursement Cancer fund.

- With coordination from the COO, direct disbursement specialty fund.

- Support team members via facilitation of professional development opportunities for team members.

- Participate in the creation of policies/procedures as directed.

- Accounts Payable.

- Other duties as assigned (i.e. Data & Reports: FAFCC, Florida Blue, Financial, Compliance, etc.).

Competency (knowledge, skills, abilities): 

Excellent leadership and management skills; written and verbal communication; strategic planning; business management; ability to analyze provider utilization and operational data; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.

Obtain and maintain CPR certification as may be required.

Participate and complete educational offerings as recommended.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages all medical services employees and is responsible for their hiring, supervision, performance management, and professional development.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office and clinical medical environment using standard office and clinical equipment.

Physical Demands:

Regular talking or hearing; frequent standing, walking, use of hands, and reaching.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Travel:

Up to 40% travel regionally; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Required Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree with five years of medical clinical operations experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field with three to five years of medical clinical operations experience. Bilingual.
